Educational institutes service organisations celebrate Teachers Day

Ongole: Various educational institutions and service organizations in the district celebrated Teachers Day and paid rich tributes to Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as a mark of respect on his 131st birth anniversary. They felicitated a number of teachers as recognition and a token of gratitude for their never-tiring service to the students.

Dr. P Ravi Kumar, principal of the St Ann's College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala explained the students about Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and importance of the role of teacher on student's life in the modern world.

The Prakasam Engineering College correspondent Kancharla Ramaiah advised the students to take inspiration from Radhakrishnan and said that the teachers can change the world by changing the students.

The students at the Damacharla Sakkubayamma Government Women Degree College felicitated the principal Dr. D Anjaneyulu and commerce Head of the Department K Ravi Kumar as a token of respect on teachers day.

The OSD of Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam Dr. N Sanjeeva Rao, OSD of the Acharya Nagarjuna University PG Campus Dr. G Somasekhara paid rich tributes to Sarvepalli Radhakrishanan and explained about his ethical life.

The Lions Club of Ongole Citizens organized the teachers day at Sri Gayatri Grammar School and its president Dr. S Nyamatulla Basha advised the teachers' fraternity to take inspiration of Radhakrishanan. The club felicitated the teachers and presented mementos from the International Association of Lions Clubs.
