EKYC registration for data purification: Collector

Kakinada: The EKYC (electronic know your customer) registration being carried for PDS will be an added advantage to the card holders as it includes all the family members in the system in the supply of monthly rations prominently, said East Godavari Collector D Muralidhr Reddy.

Addressing the media at Collectorate on Saturday, the Collector said that the EKYC process has nothing to do with the removal of ration cards. It was a process like know your consumer being followed in the banks.

This registration would help the other family members of the card holder also to get PDS supplies at doorstep though village volunteer allotted to those families. G Lakshmisha, Joint Collector said that EKYC is a data purification process and even if it is delayed the distribution of ration would continue to the card holders.
