Elephants Destroy Crops In Andhra-Tamil Nadu Border

Hordes of elephants are creating panic near the Andhra and Tamil Nadu border areas. About 12 elephants have been killed in the Sulagiri area, and the surrounding villages are panicking. Farmers are worried about elephants wandering around during harvests.

Hundreds of elephants return from the Bannerghatta forest every year to the Sanamavu forest near Hosur. Elephants destroy copper crops every time the rag crop arrives. Elephants are crossing the solar fence set up by forest officials and destroying crops.

A total of 12 elephants have been separated from a herd of 40 elephants from Karnataka. Farmers want forest officials to take action to drive the elephants to the Karnataka forest.
