Eluru: Chairman Mamillapalli Jayaprakash visits Isolation ward for Covid-19

Eluru: Red Cross District Branch Chairman Mamillapalli Jayaprakash, after visiting the isolation ward for Covid-19 at the general hospital here on Tuesday, said that precautions have been taken to prevent the spread of Covid-19. He said that the isolation ward was set up here one and a half months back and a doctor with five supporting staff was posted there.

He thanked Minister for Medical and Health services Alla Nani for taking the initiative in this regard.

District Medical and Health officer Dr Subrahmaneswari said that 48 persons, who returned from foreign countries were advised to stay at home for 28 days under the supervision of physicians. They were also advised to keep off from their family members.

She advised people to wash their hands with soap frequently to arrest the spread of disease.

Hospital superintendent Dr Ravi Kumar, Red Cross Society members Gampala Brahmavati, Nukapeyya Mary, Dr Srinivas, DSO Dr Leelaprasad, micro biologist Dr Sunita, staff nurse Syamala and others were present.
