Eluru Mysterious Disease: Govt. should be held responsible for the incident, says Chandrababu
Former chief minister and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu demanded that the government provide better treatment to the victims of a mysterious disease in Eluru. Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, he said, we want to find out what actually happened to the victims and criticised the government of not taking action without awareness. He said that the government initially ignored the Eluru incident and said that they do not know the reasons. He said the government could not guarantee the lives of the people and opined that if sanitation is maintained according to a method, such problems will not arise.
Naidu further said that the people are losing their lives because of the incompetent government and demanded that the government should be held the responsibility to take full responsibility for the Eluru incident. "Health measures should be taken to instil confidence in the people, "Chandrababu said. He criticized the government for not paying attention to public health and questioned that a health emergency has not been declared in Eluru.
On the other hand, the central team will arrive in Eluru in West Godavari district on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Kishan Reddy told the media on Monday to this extent. "We are sending a team of three AIIMS officers to Eluru who will reach Eluru tomorrow; as the people are scared with a strange disease.
