Eluru: Revenue Divisional Officer P Rachana urged police to create awareness on public gathering

Eluru: As part of efforts to prevent spread of deadly Coronavirus, Eluru Revenue Divisional Officer P Rachana asked the Sub-divisional police officer to have advance information regarding public gatherings to mark festivals and celebrations.

She said as the Centre and state governments appealed people against gathering in large numbers at same places, the police should not allow people to gather at a places which would help spread Coronavirus. She said when festivities were organized people in large numbers, especially from foreign countries will participate posing threat to the gathering, in case of anybody among them suffering from Coronavirus.

She urged the police sub-division officer to create awareness among people against gathering at places or attending for religious programmes, political meetings, rallies etc.
