Eluru: District Additional Superintendent of Police (Admin) Karimulla Sharif has called upon women and girls to download Disha app on their mobile so that the police can reach them within 10 minutes in case of emergency.

He organised the weekly 'Spandana' grievance redressal meeting at district police headquarters here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Additional SP said that women or girls in dangerous situations can send a signal through their Disha app. Those under attack from miscreants and rapists can get help from the police at the press of the button using the app.

The Superintendent of Police alerted people to be aware of frauds calling on phone in the guise of bank officials and asking for details of their bank accounts including OTP. He urged people never ever disclose such information with anybody. If they unknowingly furnish the details, the callers can rob them of their money in the account, he warned.
