Employees JAC stages protest, warns of stir in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: Leaders of demanded the tate government to solve their problems immediately. Employees, teachers, and pensioners staged protest demonstration led by AP Employees Joint Action Committee (APJAC) demanding immediate solution to their problems at panchayat raj office on Mahatma Gandhi Road here on Friday.
JAC state president N Chandrasekhar Reddy said that the problems of employees were not solved in the last six months. He also said that at least there was no chance to meet Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and explain their situation. The state government was neglecting their problems contrary to its assurance, he said.
The implementation of the PRC (pay revision committee), cancellation of the CPS (contributory pension scheme) and regularisation of contract employees are the main demands, he said. The pay revision committee was supposed to submit the report sometime back but the state government was postponing it intentionally, he said and added that they would intensify the agitation if the state government failed to solve their issues.
JAC general secretary Joseph Sudheer Babu said that the state government should regularise the outsourcing employees' service immediately. He also said that the Telugu medium also should be continued along with English medium.
Krishna district JAC president A Vidyasagar said that they would stage a massive protest in Vijayawada city on December 20 on their issues. Several JAC leaders also said that the government should pay salaries to the employees on the first day of every month. They said that the government was not paying salaries on the 1st day of the month during the last four months.
