English essential for betterment of children: Swaroopananda
Kakinada: Visaka Sharada Peethadipati Swami Swaroopananda welcomed the government move to introduce English medium in government schools as it will help the students to get a bright career in future.
The Swamiji hailed the State government for providing an opportunity to poor children for getting education in English medium in the government schools. Inaugurating the free marriage function hall building constructed by M S Reddy and Anjani at Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple at Annavaram Devasthanam on Saturday, the Swamiji told the reporters that Telugu language was mother tongue for two Telugu-speaking states and these two states should conserve the language.
Swaroopananda said that many students studied in Telugu medium were doing jobs and businesses abroad by learning English. Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu, Minister for Tourism Avanti Srinivas, MLA Parvata Poorna Chandraprasad, Annavaram Devastanam Chairman I V Rohith, Endowments Department Assistant Commissioner and Executive Officer Vendra Trinatha Rao participated in the programme. Swamiji said that Lord Satyadeva will bless M S Reddy for providing the hall with free of cost for performing marriages to poor people.
