Ex-Minister Ravindra Reddy to soon join YSRCP

Kadapa: The stage is set for senior Congress leader and former Minister Dr D L Ravindra Reddy to join the YSR Congress party very soon.

YSR Congress leaders Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Sivarama Krishnaiah and YSR congress Mydukuru nominee S Raghurami Reddy met Ravindra Reddy at his residence on Wednesday.

He said that following repeated appeals by Jaganmohan Reddy, and well wishers and followers, he decided to join the YSRCP to ensure the party's victory in Mydukuru constituency. Ravindra Reddy alleged that corruption is rampant in the State under the TDP rule.

It may be recalled that Ravindra Reddy had made a vain bid to secure tickets from the TDP and YSRCP to contest from Mydukuru. Subsequently, he had decided to contest as an Independent. But in the last minute, he changed his decision and resolved to support the YSRCP candidate.
