Exclusive cargo flight services begins in Visakhapatnam

The long wait has come to an end as the to be administrative capital Visakhapatnam has launched its first exclusive cargo flight for air flight services along Chennai–Vizag– Kolkata. The exclusive Cargo flight is capable of carrying 20 tons of weight.

Earlier, Vishakhapatnam has only been allocated cargo on Domestic Airlines, which use to shift the goods from Visakhapatnam to Chennai and Kolkata and then to other countries. This had cost high for the companies resulting in loses. The government has taken steps to set up air cargo from Vishakhapatnam for business needs.

The development has come as a relief to the Andhra Pradesh Air Travellers Association (APATA), which has been waiting since a long time for the introduction of air cargo flight from Visakhapatnam for a long time, thanks to Visakhapatnam MP MVV Satyanarayana who held talks with several airlines for the same.
