Exports touched 331 billion dollars, says Kishan Reddy in Guntur

Guntur: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy said that nation's exports touched 331 billion dollars and up by 9.1%. Addressing a press meet held at the BJP state office in Guntur on Monday, he explained achievements of 100 days of central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that despite economic slowdown, exports are increasing and Centre had already taken steps to liberally sanction bank loans to purchase new vehicles and to boost the economic development. He said,the Centre will develop road connectivity in the rural areas under 'Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana' at a cost of Rs.70,000 crore to develop infrastructure in rural areas.

The minister said: " Article 370 was abolished in Jammu and Kashmir and solved seven decade old problem and irrespective political affiliations, leaders are appreciating Narendra Modi. BJP has no sufficient majority in the Rajya Sabha to pass the Bill. However, the Bill was passed with 2/3 majority. The Centre has extended financial assistance of Rs. 88,000 crore to farmers under Kisan Samman Yojana Scheme.''

He reminded that the Centre has introduced pension scheme for the benefit of farmers. He recalled that the Centre introduced Jalshakti Abhiyan scheme to improve groundwater levels and to solve water problem in rural areas and one country one grid system was introduced to solve power problem.

BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana and Tobacco Board chairman Yadlapati Raghunadh Babu were among those participated.

Earlier,Kishan Reddy went to Ganesh Pandal on Amaravati Road in Guntur and performed pujas to Lord Ganesha.
