Facelift to Durga Temple with 40 lakh in Kakinada
Kakinada: Endowments Department Deputy Commissioner Durga Prasad has said that the Kanaka Durga Temple at Santhacheruvu here will be developed at a cost of Rs 40 lakh as the temple was drawing a large number of devotees in recent times.
He inspected the temple here on Sunday and interacted with the priest of the temple, Garimella Satyanarayana Sharma and enquired about the facilities being provided to the devotees. He said that the temple would be developed with beautiful infrastructure. Saplings would be planted on the temple premises.
He said that a Yaga Sala for performing `Chandi Homam' and `Addala Mandapam' for taking darshan of the goddess by the devotees would be established in the temple and all facilities like drinking water and others would be provided for the convenience of the devotees.
