Film-making workshop at VIT concludes

Vijayawada: A workshop on documentary film making was organised by the VIT- AP School of Business on its campus here on Monday and Tuesday. Snehasis Das, director- film maker and Jyoti Prakash Das, visual editor from Naked Eye Film, Bhubaneswar were the resource persons for the workshop.

Snehasis Das is a national and international award winner for making films on social issues such as climate change, maternal mortality, right to education and disability.One of his recent music video on 'The Stories Untold' related to super cyclone and migration has been given the best music video award at the Los Angeles film awards in USA.

The team demonstrated BBA students on making video and documentary film on social issues. As part of the liberal arts foundation in the BBA programme, the students are expected to go for rural immersion programme to document rural village lifestyle. The students will be making documentary film of the rural lifestyle and livelihood. Dr Madhulika Sahoo, Assistant Professor teaching Social Anthropology at the VIT-AP School of Business coordinated the entire workshop.
