Film on Vizianagaram Vaibhavam to be out on Oct 12

Vizianagaram: With the district is gearing up for the prestigious Pydithalli Utsav and Sirimanu Utsav to be held on October 15, the government is conducting a short-film contest on 'Clean and Green' topic. Similarly, an NGO namely Spark has made a short-film on 'Vizianagaram Vaibhavam.'

The 50-minute film is shot in the surroundings of Vizianagaram, Bobbili, Andhra and other Jamindari villages. The actors and technicians hailing from the town, worked for more than six months to complete the film.

This film highlights the great personalities of the district like Kodi Ramamurthi Naidu, Gurajada Apparao, Adibhatla Narayanadasu and also focused on some historical places such as Rama Teertham, Bobbili fort, Andhra Fort and Kurupam fort. History of Jamindaris like Andhra, Vizianagaram, Bobbili and Kurupam were also filmed in short-film.

The motive of film is to elevate the greatness of the district and to explore the history including tourism spots like Tatipudi, Thotapalli and others. Film director Bhavani Padmanabham said the entire history of the district is narrated to attract the audience and to create interest among spectators to visit the places.

"Our aim is to glorify the history, which is forgotten by our younger generations and make them to travel into those historical places. The film will be released on October 12 and will be exhibited for three days free of cost for children.

Our aim is to publicise the history and greatness of our district and to attract more tourists to see our forts and projects. Pydithalli and Sirimanu Utsav's history is also included in the documentary." He hoped the film would draw good response.
