Update: 2019-10-26 13:02 IST

TDP Senior Leader Varla Ramaiah has finally resigned as RTC Chairman. Ramaiah, who resigned as chairman of the RTC on Saturday, sent a letter of resignation to the Principal Secretary of Transport. Varala Ramaiah, who was appointed as the chairman of RTC in the TDP government, has not resigned from the government for several days.

In September, the Chief Secretary of the Transport and RTC MD Krishnababu issued the notice as per sub-clause 2 of Section 8 of the APSRTC 1950 Act. Varala Ramaiah, who had recently received notices, announced his resignation as chairman of RTC. Five months after the formation of the new government, Varala Ramaiah has stepped down.

However, it is assumed that the TDP leader has resigned the post after being filed by several cases after the latter was foul-mouthed against the police department.
