Five members of the same family went missing in Nellore district. The disappearance of two women and three children from the same family has become a mystery in GK Palli village in Venkatagiri mandal of Nellore district. The family members are deeply concerned that the five who went out saying they were going to the primary health center did not return till night. A complaint has been lodged with the police in this regard. With this, the police who landed in the field carried out a search for them. According to the police, Krishnaiah and Sudhakar are brothers-in-law from GK Palli. The two married the daughters of their cousins. Krishnaiah was married to Vijaya. They have two daughters, Srivani (3) and Divya Shree (7 months) while Sudhakar was married to Supriya who has a daughter Surekha (2).

As the child Divya Shree was ill, Vijaya and Supriya took her to the PHC in the village on Monday afternoon. They also took the other children along with. However, due to delay in treatment and lack of nebulizer facility, the locals said that they left in an auto saying that they would go to a private hospital.

The family members were worried that those who went home in the afternoon would not return even till night. They also complained to the police and searched around however there was of no result. Gudur DSP Rajagopal Reddy said six teams had been deployed to find the whereabouts of the five missing persons. The police investigation revealed that the car in which the women left PHC did not belong to that town and asserted that they are looking for more clues.
