Floral tributes paid to Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: Minister for Endowments Vellampalli Srinivas said on Friday that Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu should be an inspiration for his governance with honesty, justice and human values.
The Minister paid floral tributes to 'Andrakesari' at his statue at Tummapalli Kalakshetram on his 147th birth anniversary. MLA Malladi Vishnu, in-charge Collector Madhavi Latha, VMC commissioner Prasanna Venkatesh and others paid rich tributes.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Prakasam Pantulu was the first Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh who had delivered governance with honesty, justice and human values. He recalled that he fought bravely with the British. Prakasam Pantulu's legacy was being continued by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy by taking him as inspiration, he added.
