Follow EC guidelines, officials told in Guntur

Guntur: Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao directed the officials to follow directions of the Election Commission (EC) in the MLC election.

He addressed a meeting held in the grievance hall here on Saturday.

Speaking on this occasion, he instructed the officials to collect information relating to the problematic villages and step up vigilance on the movements of the anti-social elements and rowdy sheeters.

He suggested them to coordinate with the officials of the neighbouring districts. The Urban SP instructed them to set up closed circuit cameras in the problematic villages.

He directed the DSPs to visit the problematic villages and said that they will set up election control room very soon.

Vijaya Rao ordered for closure of liquor shops on the dry day and to check its illegal transport. Guntur urban additional SP YT Naidu and police officers were present.
