Former MP Ashok Gajapathi Raju fires on YCP government
Vizianagaram: Former MP and hereditary trustee of Simhachalam Devasthanam and MANSA trust P Ashok Gajapathi Raju strongly opposed the decision taken by the government and appointing Sanchaita Gajapathi Raju as chairperson of the temple.
He stated that the over-involvement of government in those both institutions are unethical and unlawful. It can be considered the attack on sentiments and emotions of devotees of North Andhra.
He spoke to media on Saturday along with Aditi Gajapathi at Vizianagaram and alleged that the state government has eyed on the assets lands of the trust and deliberately defaming both institutions. Actually the government should not involve or intervene in the activities of any private trust.
This Manasa trust is a hereditary organization and the people from other religions should not be inducted but the government is intentionally defaming us. The endowment officials are playing tricks and damaging the trust and its popularity. It's a non-political institute, so far many governments were formed and changed in AP but never happened like this.
It's very unfortunate that they didn't serve a notice to me before appointing some others in that post. So far i didn't receive any notice and I didn't see the GO copy also. After getting complete information on that GO we will think what to do and how to defend ourself." he said.
