Rajahmundry: The senior Congress leader and former MP GV Harsha Kumar is planning to launch a new political party very soon.

For 2019 elections, Harsha Kumar has joined the Telugu Desam party in the presence of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

After joining TDP, Harsha Kumar was expecting the party ticket, but after not seeing his name in the TDP candidates list he has decided not to work for any political party in the coming elections.

Speaking to media on Saturday, Harsha Kumar said that he has decided to stay away from 2019 elections, and very soon he'll be going to launch a new political party.

For which he will be meeting leaders like Manda Krishna Madiga, and others. In the state, there are 68 lakhs Dalit voters, and they all need a separate political party, Harsha Kumar said.

He also said that YSRCP and Jana Sena Party leaders have insulted him. Earlier, at the elections movement few leaders from these parties have approached, and at the peak movement they have kept me aside, he said.

In this meantime, few TDP leaders have offered to join the party, and Chandrababu Naidu has welcomed Harsha Kumar into the party.

Over this, he has expressed happiness and thought that TDP will give the party ticket in the elections. But due to some reasons they denied the ticket, and with this, he was very much disappointed, Harsha Kumar said.
