Former TDP MLA Kuna Ravi Kumar who threatened tahsildar surrenders before police
Kuna Ravikumar, former TDP MLA who has been hiding for few days has surrendered at Adikuru police station in Srikakulam district on Wednesday. TDP activists and supporters went in rally with Ravi Kumar to police station. He seems to be on bail.
TDP leader and former government whip Ravi Kumar telephoned and threatened Ponduru Tahasildar Rama Krishna of Srikakulam district. This happened after tahsildar seized the vehicle following a complaint from VRO claiming two JCBs and four tippers of Ravi Kumar's brother who was illegally mining sand at the Ramasagaram pond in Gorinta village on the 16th of this month.
In this backdrop, Ravi Kumar telephoned Tahasildar and threatened him. However, the Tahsildar said he had nothing to do and seized the vehicles. The audio clipping was revealed by Tahsildar Rama Krishna and complained to the police. Upon the complaint of Ramakrishna, the police registered a case against Ravi under sections 353, 506 and 34. Ravi, however, went into hiding for the past three days and surrendered before police on Wednesday.
