Four die as car hits milk tanker in Prakasam
Ongole: In a tragic accident occurred on Sunday morning in Prakasam district, four people from Krishna district lost their lives when the car they are travelling hit a milk tanker from behind. While they are died on the spot, two women are shifted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Ongole for treatment.
According to the police, a family Meduru in Vuyyuru mandal in Krishna district is on its way after seeking blessings from Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on Saturday night. The car they are travelling with registered number AP28TV6691, an SUV from Mahindra, lost control at Gollapalli flyover on NH 16, near Maddipadu village in the morning of Sunday. The police identified the deceased as V Panduranga Rao, aged 42 years, S Narasimha Rao aged 40 years, V Shyam Satya Sagar aged 10 years, DVR Sambireddy aged 44 years and shifted the injured women V Anuradha aged 35 and V Bhanupriya aged 16 years to the RIMS Hospital in Ongole for treatment.
The police suspect that the driver is sleepy and lost control of the vehicle for a fraction of second, before hitting hard the milk tanker from behind. They registered the case and started the investigation.
