Four killed, five injured as tractor trailer overturns

Guntur: Tragedy struck a marriage party on Thursday when four of its members were killed and five others injured when a tractor trailer in which they were travelling overturned at Chinaparimi village under Tsundur mandal in Guntur district. on Thursday.

According to police, the tractor trailer carrying over forty persons of a marriage party was returning from Tenali to Malapalli under Tsundur mandal. While negotiating a curve at Ambedkar Nagar, the tractor driver lost control over vehicle. It led to trailer overturning.

Deceased were identified as U Padmavati (35) and G Annamma (40) were killed on the spot. Harsha Vardhan (9) and K Nikhil (7) died while being shifted to the GGH in Tenali for treatment.

The Injured have been shifted to local government hospital in Tenali town. Tenali DSP K Sri Lakshmi said raash driving led to the accident.
