A family of five allegedly commits suicide

Anakapalli: In a tragic incident, five members of the same family committed suicide in Anakapalli district on Thursday night. Four died, while one is undergoing treatment in a hospital.

A couple and their two children died after consuming insecticide in an apartment at night.

Another nine-year-old child, Kusuma Priya, is getting treated at NTR Hospital.

The doctors said that the condition of Kusuma Priya, who is undergoing treatment, is stable and out of danger.

According to police, K Rama Krishna along with his wife Madhavi Devi and their children Veda Vaishnavi, Jahnavi Lakshmi, and Kusuma Priya were living in Lakshmi Paradise apartment.

Anakapalli town CI T Mohan Rao reached the spot and started the investigation after receiving the information.

The police opined that Ramakrishna and family from Guntur had taken the extreme step due to mounting debts.

The CI conveyed the information to Ramakrishna's relatives staying in Mangalagiri.
