French biz delegation meets Ministers, babus in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: Members of the French Business Confederation (MEDEF) on Wednesday visited Vijayawada and held talks with the ministers and senior officers of the state government to extend support in trade, investment, technological cooperation on the long-term partnership basis.
The delegation interacted with the finance minster Bugganna Rajendranath Reddy, agriculture minister Kurasula Kanna Babu, minister for energy Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, chief secretary L V Subramanyam, additional chief secretary Dr P V Ramesh in a hotel.
Guy Sidos, chairman and CEO, VICAT Building Materials led the delegation to Andhra Pradesh. He said that 'France was an important partner to Andhra Pradesh and relations extend to culture, spirit and soul'
Finance minister Rajendranath Reddy explained the policies of the state government to promote industry and trade in the state.
MEDEF is the most representative organisation of the French private sector at an international level and gathers 7,100 French companies every year, including 55 CEOs of major French companies.
In all, 39 business leaders from transport and logistics, smart cities, infrastructure, energy, agriculture and building materials sought collaboration with Andhra Pradesh in the sectors of urban infrastructure, smart cities, urban development, automobile, solar, renewable energy and logistics.
