An official persuading the voters who received deletion notices

Bhimavaram: Notices to 700 voters for deletion of their votes created a flutter at Korukollu in Palakoderu mandal. A large number of voters stormed panchayat office expressing anger at officials for sending notice for deletion of votes on Tuesday. A Form 7 submitted by anonymous person resulted in commotion.

The voters who rushed to panchayat office entered into argument with officials over notices sent to them. They questioned the officials how could the officials act blindly when someone complains against them. They doubted some political motive behind it as panchayat elections are approaching.

The gathered voters argued that they have been staying in the villages by constructing shelter. They had been to other places in search of livelihood. They voted in recent general election also. How can officials scare them now for deletion of their votes when they were very much present in the same village.

The officials persuaded them to calm down and requested them to submit their Aadhaar, ration card and voter cards for necessary action.
