Gaiety marks Satyanarayana Swamy Kalyanam in Annavaram

Ratnagiri (Annavaram): Thousands of devotees witnessed Kalyanam of Lord Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy atop the Ratnagiri Hills on Wednesday night.

The celestial fete was performed amidst chanting of vedic mantras by the priests in the presence of Kshetrapalaka Lord Sri Rama. The two-hour holy event made an eye feast to devotees who witnessed it with religious fervour.

Ratnagiri and Satyagiri reverberated with vedic mantras. Temple Trust Board Chairman IV Rohit, Collector Karthikeya Mishra, Joint Collector A Mallikarjuna, Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni, Peddapuram Revenue Divisional Officer Vansantha Raidu and many others witnessed the holy event.

Temple Executive Officer M V Suresh Babu, Assistant Commissioner E Jagannadham Assistant Executive Officer Tula Ramu and others supervised the arrangements. RTC made special arrangements to transport the devotees to the hill shrine.

The temple management not allowed autos considering the huge rush of devotees. Heavy police bundobust was arranged on ghat roads and on the hill to prevent untoward incidents.
