Gandi Kshetrem taken over by TTD
Kadapa: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has taken over the famous Veeranjaneya Swamy temple popularly known as Gandi Kshetrem which is attracting abound, 2,000 devotees, every day located Veeranna Gattu Palli village of Chakrayapet Mandal in the district.
Special Chief Secretary to the government Man Mohan Singh has issued the orders on Wednesday directing TTD EO to take over Veeranjaneya Swamy temple along with along with all properties, jewellery and staff from endowment department into the fold of TTD with immediate effect.
In the orders, the special chief secretary mentioned that after carefully examining the representation submitted by people as well as public representatives the government has taken such decision for providing more facilities in the temple.
This the second temple was taken over by TTD in Kadapa district as in the earlier it was SRI Kodandaramaswamy temple located in Vontimitta which was seen rapid development with Rs 100 crores like Badrachalam of Telangana state.
Anjaneya Swamy temple located on the right bank of Papagni river. In Telugu, Ganjdi means a narrow valley with a running river. According to the history, Gandi Kshetrem (Veeranjaneya Swamy temple) was built by Swamy Vyasa Charyulu who is the follower of Madhva culture he brought this temple limelight. Swamy of Bhumanada Ashram name of Gandi kshetrem to this place.

So he sculptured little finger of the left hand. To the astonishment of great devotee, the little finger is broken down and blood starting oozing understanding the intention of Anjaneya Swamy. He sculptured the figure left by Sri Rama.
