Global peace awards distributed by Telugu Association
Vijayawada: "Whichever part of the world we settle, we should not forget the culture and tradition of the motherland," said Telugu Association of Malaysia president Dr Achaiah Kumar Rao.
Philanthropic Society of India along with Telugu Association of Malaysia and Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust organised Global Peace International Awards ceremony at Hotel Grand Continental, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on March 9.
Speaking to The Hans India, Philanthropic Society of India founder Adanki Raja on Thursday said that they have honoured social activists, poets, artists, writers, lyricists, singers, doctors, lawyers and others on the occasion.
He said that Telugu Association of Malaysia president Dr Achaiah Kumar Rao was the chief guest at the award ceremony and distributed the awards to the selected people.
Umar Alisha Trust representative T Usha Rani, along with Malaysia Telugu Association representatives D Lakshmi Prabha, Dr Venkata Pratap, Siva Soorianarayana, P Renu Kumar, Ramya Kumari, Sushil Kumar and others spoke on the occasion.
