G Municipal Corporation opens water kiosks

Guntur: Guntur Municipal Corporation set up 54 drinking water chalivendras and 13 butter milk chalivendras in Guntur city to provide cool drinking water and butter milk to the people in the summer.

GMC commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar is conducting surprise checks in chalivendras and checking quality of butter milk. The GMC has set up nine Chaluva Pandillu (tents) near the bus stops in the city.

Elderly people, women, children and others are using the shelters in the scorching heat. Taking this into consideration, the GMC has set up, Chaluvapandirllu at GMC guest house. They arranged chairs for sitting in the tents.
