Godavari flood reached closed to second warning level at Bhadrachalam
Water level in Godavari River at Bhadrachalam in Kothagudem district has reached second warning level here at 47. 8 feet on Friday. The water entered in to the town and touched the Lord Rama temple steps which is in west side. The flood water came to the town under the slues of the Karakatta. Annadhan Satram was which is near by the temple steps also merged with flood water.
The District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini ordered to the officers, to not to leave their place of work. He also monitoring every one hour with the sectorial officers in all Mandals.
He also informed a control room arranged at Sub-Collector office Bhadrachalm. He also said, two big boats are being ready at Godavari.
The health and medical department officials were asked to take measures to prevent spread of the police in the above mandals were also directed to be cautious assist revenue personnel in carrying out the relief works.
Vehicular traffic on Bhadrachalam-Chintoor highway connecting Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Kunta-Chetty highway connecting Chhattisgarh and AP was affected as the Godavari flood waters inundated the roads.
