Gold necklace offered to Goddess Durga in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: A gold necklace studded with precious stones weighing 27 grams was offered to Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam atop the Indrakeeladri on Friday. The necklace was presented by M Tejaswini, daughter of M Rama Rao from Mylavaram.

The donors met temple Executive Officer MV Suresh Babu and handed over the gold ornament for the decoration of the deity. The necklace was studded with 12 rubies, 14 emeralds, one diamond and two ruby earrings. The Devasthanam's Vedic pandits gave Veda aashirvachanam to the donors. Later, the EO gave prasadam to the donors.
