Gooty: Robbers loot Rs 11 lakh cash, Gold in serial housebreak

Gooty: The robbers created hulchul by breaking seven houses in Gooty of Anantapur district. In the serial housebreaking incident, they have looted Rs 11.5 lakh cash, five tola gold ornaments, and other valuable items.

According to police, the thieves entered the house of Prasad a retired electric lineman residing at Bandageri and stolen Rs 11 lakh which was kept in the locker.

After which, they broke open the houses in the same line and flew away with cash, valuable items, and clothes. The thieves entered the house of Gayatri who does sarees business at Kamatamveedhi have stolen Rs 50,000 along with gold ornaments.

The robbers also broke opened the house of retired Railway employee Narayanaswamy, who resides on Kurnool road here in the town and stolen the gold jewelry along with valuable sarees from the locker.

SI Rajasekhar Reddy along with clues team, fingerprint experts and dog squad have inspected the houses where the robberies have taken place, registered a case and investigating further.
