Amaravati: Goutham Reddy explains about skill development programme to Singapore delegation

Amaravati: Six member Singapore delegation met Andhra Pradesh Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Information Technology Mekapati Goutham Reddy on Wednesday, at Secretariat and discussed about skill development training programs.

The Minister discussed about setting up skill development training centers at every Parliament constituency in the state, informed the office of the minister in a press release.

Goutham Reddy informed with Singapore officials that the AP government will set up 25 skill development centers in the state and train the unemployed so that they will be capable of establishing the industries on their own.

He briefed to the Singapore officials about Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's decision on 75 percent reservation on jobs for locals.

By using sea port, airport facilities the state government will create opportunities to provide infrastructure facilities. Government is striving to create maximum employment for the youth in the state, said Minister.

Industries department advisor Krishna GV Giri, Singapore officials KS Ian, Cheng Hong Siang, Tio Chee Howe, Valerie Tio and Esther Tan were present at the meeting.

Later, the Singapore delegation led by Martin Yuoon held discussions on issues of mutual interest with Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and other officials. Officials including P V. Ramesh, SS Rawat, Vijaya Kumar, Subramanyam also present at the meeting.
