Goutham Reddy to preside over today's Chittoor DRC meet
Chittoor: After a gap of five years, the District Review Committee ( DRC) meeting is scheduled to be held at ZP Meeting Hall here on Wednesday. District In-charge Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy ( Minister for Industries ) will preside over the meeting.
Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy, Panchayat Raj Minister P Ramachandra Reddy , YCP MPs of Tirupati, Chittoor and Rajampet, MLAs of Tirupati, Madanapalli, Piler, Chittoor, Palamaner, Thamballapalli, Srikahasti, Satyavedu, Nagari, and Chandragiri Assembly constituencies are expected to take part along with four MLCs from the district.
Speaking to The Hans India over phone, District In-charge Minister said that a strategy will be drafted for implementing all the ongoing schemes with the cooperation of the members ruling and opposition groups .
He said priority will be given for implementing all the assurances of Navaratnalu. He said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has plans to develop drought prone districts like Kadapa, Anantapur, and Chittoor.
Goutham Reddy further said that the government has already introduced several pilot schemes for the welfare of the farmers and all eligible farmers will be covered under YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme. He exuded confidence that the members will extend their cooperation in making the meet a success.
Meanwhile, District Collector N B Gupta has instructed all the district officers to attend the meet with full information regarding progress of various schemes and works in their departments.
