Government gives financial support of Rs.13,500 to farmer under Rythu Bharosa: CM YS Jagan

Vijayawada: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said the state government is committed to the welfare and development of farmers in the state and been implementing Rythu Bharosa and PM Kisan and other schemes to help the farmers. He conducted brainstorming session 'Mana Paalana-Mee Suchana' with the farmers on Tuesday at the camp office and interacted with the farmers on agriculture and allied sectors. He said the government has decided to extend support to the farmers five years under Rythu Bharosa instead of proposed only four years. He said each farmer gets Rs.13,500 financial assistance every year under Rythu Bharosa scheme and spent Rs.10,209 crore in the first year under Rytu Bharosa.

Jagan said the state government is working with objective of making farmers happy and agriculture should be made profitable. He said the state government paid Rs.1270 crore for crop insurance and sanctioning loans to farmers at zero percent interest rates. He said the government spent Rs.8800 crore to ensure free power to the farmers and spent Rs.1700 crore to set up feeders to supply power in day time also.
