Government spreading false allegations, intend to file defamation case against it: AB Venkateswar Rao's son

With the suspension of former Intelligence chief AB Venkateswara Rao, the ruling and opposition parties are already mulling over the affair. Former CM Chandrababu Naidu also responded stating that it is appropriate to suspend the officer. On the other hand, Chetan Sai Krishna, son of AB Venkateswara Rao, also responded to it.

He denounced the allegations levelled against him and his father in a statement. He said that he had not participated in any tenders regarding the Andhra Pradesh government and asserted that he has nothing to do with the charges levelled by the government.

Sai Krishna said he had to release the statement as his father is in a responsible position and had some limitations. He has no choice left except to file a defamation case on those who make baseless allegations.

The former intelligence chief has been suspended over the violation of rules in the procurement of the police equipment while he was in the office in the last TDP regime.
