Government to address coconut growers problems
Amalapuram: Andhra Pradesh Farmers Commission member Junnuri Bobby has assured to sort out the problems of coconut farmers and said the problems will be taken to the notice of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
Participating in farmers meeting held at Bandarlanka on Tuesday, he said Jaganmohan Reddy is very much particular to address the problems of all categories of farmers in the state. The commission was aimed to know the problems of the farming community and to settle them, he said. The government is a farmer's government and the tenure of YS Jaganmohan Reddy is a golden period to farmers in the state.
Later, the coconut farmers underlined the need to purchase coconuts through NAFED and said the coconut growers in the state are not competing with their counterparts in other states as the size of coconut is very small. BKS and Krushivala Coconut Producers Company jointly arranged the meeting.
BKS All India Sanghatana secretary Dattatreya Kulakarni, state president G Sriramulu, general secretary Raghavulu, Jalagam Kumara Swamy, Krushivala Coconut Producers Company president Ganapathi Veera Raghavulu and others were present. Later, Junnuri Bobby was felicitated.
