Government urged to take back encroached school playground: Deputy CM Alla Nani

Eluru: Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani has assured to all-party delegation to take back the encroached playground of Subbamma Devi High School here. The delegation explained to the minister that the school ground was purchased from contributions from students and teachers and later it was protected by the local body by constructing a compound wall.

Since then, the playground was also being used for community needs. However, during the previous TDP regime, the ground was encroached. The all-party delegation requested the minister to intervene in the matter and exercise his authority to recover it from the encroachers. The minister positively reacted to the request and promised to take over the encroached land.

The delegation was represented by playground protection committee convener G Narasimha Rao, P Kishore and B Somaiah (CPM), B Srinivas (YSRCP), K Krishnamacharyulu (CPI), R Rammohan Rao (Congress), B Jogendra (Jana Sena Party), S Nagaraju (MCPI) among others.
