Government will streamline health, education sectors: Dharmana
Srikakulam: Minister for Roads and Buildings Dharmana Krishna Das said that the government would revamp both health and education fields. The Minister reviewed the progress of works at various departments with concerned officials along with District Collector J Nivas here on Friday.
On the occasion, the Minister said that corruption and negligence was prevailed in all government departments, but health and education sectors were more essentials for public and both the areas are required to be revamped.
The Minister asked government doctors working at different hospitals to spend at least their duty hours strictly in the service of poor patients.
Doctors need to mend their attitude towards patients as huge amount was being paid for salaries and maintenance of hospitals at different levels, he stated. He said the government would streamline education system in the interest of poor students.
He asked the education department officials to supply books and uniforms before commencement of academic classes every year. Admissions in government schools should be increased based on quality teaching. The Minister directed the revenue and irrigation officials to provide facilities at Vamsadhara irrigation project rehabilitation colonies on quick pace. He asked the officials to treat the land and assets losers with humanitarian angle.
