Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan held meeting with farmers, advises them come up with Natural Farming

AP governor Biswabhushan Harichandan has said that once upon a time farmers use to cultivate crop organically, but now they turned to fertilizer for commercial reasons. He visited Rangannagudem village of Bapulapadu Mandal in Krishna district on Sunday. The Governor held a meeting with the farmers to discuss natural farming and the Self Help Group. The governor said that they should reduce chemicals for cultivating crops.

It has been revealed that they have come here to promote natural agriculture. He said that he would urge the Central and State Governments to take steps to promote natural agriculture.

Collector Imtiaz Ahmad said that farmers could earn extra income through organic crops. With the growth of agriculture organically in the district, farmers have been providing financial assistance to buy cows. There are over 18,000 nature farmers in the region and recently received the award in this category in Delhi.

The Governor commented that it is good to inspect natural farming. Governor secretary, Mukesh Kumar Meena, Sub-collector of Nuziveedu, Swapnil Dinakar and agriculture officials participated in the function.
