Kanna brought to the notice of the Governor that the State government was not implementing 10 per cent reservation to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in the recruitment of people to posts in Village and Ward Secretariats though the Centre had announced the reservation.

He said that lakhs of people belonging to the economically weaker sections were losing opportunities due to the negligence of the State government. Kanna criticised the YSRCP government for its failure to conduct exams to Village and Ward Secretariats in a transparent manner.

The BJP leader also pointed out that lakhs of building workers were facing challenges for their livelihood. The State government failed to make a policy for sand supply. The whole construction activity got halted due to sand scarcity.

He wondered as to why the State government was taking such a long time to bring about a new sand policy and initiate measures to prevent sand scarcity. Kanna also alleged that the State government was making plans to distribute lands of the Endowments department violating laws. The lands were given by donors for the maintenance and development of the Hindu temples and related trusts with the specific purpose, he said.

But the State government was encroaching the lands. Kanna regretted over the government not responding to their objections with regard to Endowments lands. Former Minister R Kishore Babu and other leaders were present.
