Govt to sanction 7,000 crore for roads: D Krishnadas

Eluru: Roads and Buildings Minister D Krishnadas has announced that the state government will develop roads in state at an estimated cost of Rs 7,000 crore.

He was received at the Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani's camp office here on Saturday by MP K Sridhar, MLA K Abbayya Chowdary and others. Nani brought to the notice of the Minister that during the previous regime panchayat and Roads & Buildings roads were completely ignored and people had been suffering a lot while travelling on the damaged roads.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister informed that the Chief Minister had allocated Rs 7,000 crore for roads. He also lambasted the previous administration for ignoring R&B and especially spending more funds for inferior quality works.
