TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu slammed at govt saying the construction workers were on the road due to the shortage of sand. The former chief minister questioned Jagan Reddy on how the sand shortages have occurred and alleged that CM is deceiving people by telling lies. He organized a 12-hour protest at Darna chowk in Vijayawada in support to the construction workers.

"The sand shortage is erupted due to the selfishness of government. With the shortage of sand, construction workers had committed suicide, and 125 occupants are on the road," Babu said. "For the first time in the country, we brought free sand policy," Babu added.

Chandrababu alleged that the sand which is not available in the state is transported to other states. The TDP chief reminded that there were no hurdles with the sand policy that was brought in earlier TDP govt. Chandrababu said that it is the responsibility of the CM to tell who is stalling the sand in the state.
