Granules pharmaceutical company to invest in AP, to set up a plant within Kakinada

Granules, a pharmaceutical company, is going to set up a huge plant at Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh. The company will invest Rs 2,000 crore in this center in the next five years in phases over an area of 100 acres.

The Key starting materials, intermediates, active pharmaceutical ingredients, fermentation based products required for drug production are manufactured here. Meanwhile, Granules has recently partnered with Greenko ZeroC.

As part of this, Greenko will supply emission-free electricity to the plant. It also provides chemicals used in the manufacture of DCDA, PAP, Paracetamol, Metformin, APIs and intermediates. Granules India CMD Krishna Prasad Chigurupati and Greenko Group Founder Mahesh Kolli signed the agreement.
