Guntur: Ammi Reddy, Vishal Gunni to take charge today

Guntur: The government appointed RN Ammi Reddy as Guntur urban district Superintendent of Police and Vishal Gunny as Guntur rural district SP. It issued orders to this effect. They will take charge on in Guntur on Monday.

Guntur urban Superintendent of Police PHD Rama Krishna appointed as director of Special Enforcement Bureau. Similarly, Guntur rural SP Ch Vijaya Rao transferred to railway SP in the recent IPS officers shuffle in the state.

Ammi Reddy earlier worked as Srikakulam SP and has been transferred as Guntur urban SP. He started his career as DSP in the police department in 2001. He was conferred IPS. He worked as Tirupati urban additional SP. He worked as vigilance SP in Guntur district.

Vishal Gunni was 2010 batch IPS officer. He worked as SP in Nellore and East Godavari districts. At present he is working as Octopus SP. He completed MA Economics in Delhi School of Economics. He is expected to take charge on Monday.

PHD Rama Krishna who is promoted as DIG, had suspended many police officials for involving in anti-social activities and on corruption allegations. He was instrumental in a closing a famous club in Guntur city.

He informed the matter to the Central government. He put an end to civil settlements in the department. He alerted the Central Intelligence Department about people participated in the Delhi religious prayers spreading Covid-19.

He strictly implemented the lockdown in Guntur urban police district and taken steps to check spread of Covid-19. He took steps to check illegal transport of sand.

Meanwhile, Vijaya Rao taken steps to check illegal transport of sand, Gutkha, Khaini from other states. He suspended many cops for their alleged involvement in corruption.

He closed clubs and strictly implemented lockdown in Guntur rural police district limits and strictly monitored allowing of vehicles from T-state into AP during the lockdown period.
