Guntur: Atchannaidu's judicial remand extended till July 10

Guntur: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Saturday grilled former Minister and TDP deputy floor leader in the State Assembly K Atchannaidu for over two-and-half hours in connection with his alleged involvement in the Rs 150-crore ESI scam at GGH in Guntur city.

ACB DSP G Prasad and other officials asked various questions relating to ESI scam and recorded his statements in the presence of Atchannaidu's advocate and a Government Genral Hospital doctor.

They recorded his audio and video. The officials completed their three-day questioning on Saturday.

Doctors at GGH will conduct medical tests on Atchannaidu on Sunday and submit a report to the ACB court on his health condition.

Meanwhile, the judicial remand of Atchannaidu has been extended till July 10. The ACB court issued orders to this effect on Saturday.
