Guntur: BJP strongly opposes sale of TTD lands
Guntur: BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana warned that they will fight legally against the sale of Endowments Department properties and valuable properties belonging to the TTD. Addressing a press conferece at his residence in Guntur city on Sunday, he said that the State government was making arrangements to sell Endowments Department lands.
He said that to mount pressure on the State government to withdraw the decision to conduct auction of Endowments lands and TTD properties, they will launch protests across the State.
He further said that they will stage dharnas at all the district headquarters on May 26 to register their protest and warned that they will continue their agitation till the government withdrew its decision to sell Endowments lands.
He said that it was the responsibility of the government to protect lands donated by the donors to the Endowments department. He alleged that Simhachalam temple lands were already grabbed. He expressed apprehensions that there will be no protection to the Endowments department lands in future.
