Guntur : CM YS Jagan fulfils poor man's dream of house says Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha

Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita addressing a meeting held at Etukuru on the occasion of distribution of house sites to the poor

Guntur : Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha said that distributing of house sites to 30.76 lakh beneficiaries was record in the history of state.

She distributed houses to the beneficiaries and set the foundation stone for the construction of the houses at Etukuru in Guntur city on Friday along with the district collector I Samuel Anand Kumar. Speaking on this occasion, she said that though house sites were distributed earlier, houses were not constructed because boundaries were not known to the beneficiaries.

She said that beneficiaries are happy with the distribution of house sites and added that at present poor people are not able to purchase a square yard house site in the cities due to increase of land value. She said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy made house dream of poor man into a reality.

Municipal corporation will develop infrastructure at the house sites for the construction of houses and added that the colonies will be developed as villages in the days to come. She said that the government led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was implementing schemes for the welfare of poor.

District collector I Samuel Anand Kumar said that they have distributed house sites to 3 lakh beneficiaries in the district. He said that they have developed house sites, set the boundaries and developed internal roads

and distributed houses sites. He said the cost of each house site is Rs 1.25 lakh.

MLA Mustafa said that Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken steps to distribute house sites to the poor to keep up his election promise. MLA Maddali Giridhara Rao, MLA Dr Undavalli Sridevi, joint collectors A S Dinesh Kumar and P Prasanti, Guntur Mirchi Yard chairman Yesu Ratnam were among those participated.
